The problem with human compassion

I think people have seen many unsolved problems in the world. There are still many who die from starvation and suffer from AIDS. Problems are worse, not better. So these problems are not new any more. People don't care deeply about these issues. Unfortunately, people don't take action immediately about issues.
We are desensitized to problems because we have proven that we cannot fix problems just by giving to charity. So we are tired of hearing their woes. There are so much sufferings, sometimes we are focused on something that we can accomplish actually.
Many people thought they can rescue this dog. And it seems that people thought saving this dog more effective than saving the others. I think these views made it possible to raise fund.

V Magazine to change body image issue in fashion

Size 2 has always been the standard for fashion, but everyone knows that RagTrade stands on the opposite site of the spectrum of the body size anomoly. V magazine’s fourthcoming issue will highlight the bold, big and beautiful. Set to change the beauty standard of the smaller the better, the magazine will instead feature plus size models in bathing suits and scantily clad garments.

What is beauty?

Sometimes I meet a person who is very attractive but not beautiful physically. I am attracted to kind and softhearted people.

I define beauty as someone who help other people and let people be happy. I can't agree standard of beauty now days. Usually people think beautiful women must be thin. I think it is distorted standard of beauty. As a result, many women push themselves too hard to have ridiculously thin body.

I think we must need to think about distorted beauty in media with a critical view.

Beauty

I think that now days it is true. I mean usually people think that good looks and beauty are very important. And as Bethany said, good looks is related to job and money. I think we can't deny this fact.

But we have to find out our own beauty. That is very worth it. Inner beauty is more valuable. That is also beauty. We must know our strengths and weaknesses. For example even if i might be ugly or not smart, I have a healthy body and good personality. We should find this out.

I think whatever we may have, we will not be satisfied, that is human nature. We can't have everything. That is the message from this play. We must be thankful for what we have.
